Welcome Aboard Callum!
The Longsands are pleased to announce their search for a new bass player is over. We are very excited to welcome Callum Thompson into the band, who after his audition made a potentially difficult decision very easy. Callum has been a fan of the band for a few years now and having watched us many times out front he is raring to get on the stage. Here are a few words and a little introduction from the man himself...

'I'm a Farmer's son from the wilds of Seaton Sluice, brought up on dire straights, rory gallagher and big country. I picked up a guitar to impress the girls in school and found it only attracted the lads...stuck with it though!

I have played guitar for 16 years now, played bass in The Din for 3 years. Recorded two albums at Trinity Heights and have performed at some awesome gigs around the region including The Sage. I have also worked on projects with Indria (traditional indian music meets western stuff) I also play Banjo, guitar and ukulele.

I'd like to thank the lads in the band for this opportunity and also wish Gaz the best of luck in the future.'

Callum has really threw himself into the rehearsals and also brings a passion for song writing and another, would you believe, great voice to the table!

Callum's first show will be announced soon.

Thanks, The Longsands
